Do’s and Don’ts at Interview.
  • Do try to equip yourself with strong information about the company, for this you can visit the company’s website.
  • Do dress properly, your personal grooming and cleanliness should be impeccable.
  • Do arrive early, 15 minutes prior to the interview time.
  • Do offer a firm handshake with the interviewer[s], it should not be clammy.
  • Do sit comfortably and upright in an open posture.
  • Maintain good eye contact with friendly expressions during the interview.
  • Do display sense of humor and self-confidence.
  • Do avoid using poor language, slang, and pause words (such as "like," "uh," and "um")
  • Do represent unfold CV before interviewer[s].
  • Whatever is asked, answer to that only
  • Be honest about your background and experience.
  • If you do not understand the question, ask for clarification. And take time to think before you answer the difficult and unexpected questions.
  • Do have extra copies of CV and references list.    
  • Bring all the necessary documents with you like qualification certificates, address proof, ID proof, salary slip, photograph etc with the photocopies of each.
  • Ask appropriate questions about your job profile, company or industry.
  • Try to get the business card of interviewer[s] so that you can follow up with Thank You email within 24 hrs. to the interviewer[s].
Don’ts
  • Do not make excuses. Take responsibility of your decisions and your actions.
  • Do not say anything negative about former employers or colleagues.
  • Your CV should not contain any skill or project, if you do not have knowledge about that.
  • Do not discuss personal issues or family problems.
  • Do not offer any wrong or negative information about yourself.
  • Do not smoke beforehand so that you smell like smoke. And do brush your teeth, use mouthwash, or have a breath mint before the interview.
  • Don't answer mobile phone calls during the interview, and do turn off or set to silent mode your mobile phone.
